They are different ways of processing.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>6 simple supports that usually reduce internal noise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Trigger map<\/strong> : what happens first? (noise, hunger, transition, hurry).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Entry and exit rituals<\/strong> (home\u2013street\u2013school): 2\u20133 repeatable steps.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Controlled choices<\/strong> : \u201csneakers or velcro?\u201d (two choices, not ten).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Planned <strong>sensory breaks<\/strong> : movement, pressure, breathing, water.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Clothing\/environment settings<\/strong> : no tags, headphones, softer light.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Validating language<\/strong> : \u201cIt bothers you, I understand; let\u2019s help you.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The key idea<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Sensory processing in autism is not corrected with lectures.
